Emily Barrow – Outreach Director
Emily Barrow joined SAWs in 2018 after over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector in Central Indiana. She brings vibrant optimism, social media expertise and the tenacity to manage SAWs’ participation in state-wide programs. Emily graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with an Associates of Arts degree.
Byron Chaplin – Accountant
BA in Business Management from Westminster College, Pennsylvania. Five years with engineering firm in general accounting, tax preparation, budgeting/planning, corporate reporting and contract cost. Owned/managed service bureau providing bookkeeping, accounting, payroll and customized data processing services to small businesses and not-for-profits. Provided in-house accounting and related services for several not-for-profit organizations. Accounting tutoring with Ivy Tech Community College since 2013. Accountant for SAWs since 2015.
Rik Hagarty – Founder
Rik Hagarty founded SAWs in 2003 toward the end of his career in the transportation and logistics industry. Rik conceptualized and led the expansion of SAWs across Indiana and into other states. His experience in business development, sales and consulting has been instrumental to SAWs. Rik attended Indiana State University.
Jeanette Moody – Grants Coordinator
After over forty years in education, Jeanette transitioned her knowledge of grants and school improvement plans to writing grant applications for SAWs. She completed her certification in Not for Profit Fundraising from Mendoza School of Business at Notre Dame, and works part time. She has a BA in Music Education from Anderson Univer-sity and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from Indiana University. She also has a second MA in Literacy Acquisition from Purdue University. She grew up in Chi-cago, Illinois where she met her husband Darryl. They have two children, Nicole Si-monsen and John Moody.
Rafe Mount – Operations Manager
Rafe Mount is a former SAWs project manager that has volunteered with the organization for two years. Rafe comes with more than a decade of nonprofit volunteer experience. His knowledge and dedication to SAWs will bring uniformity to the operations process to help SAWs be able to expand in the future. Rafe graduated from Marian University with a Bachelors in Finance and Management.
Bob Richmond – Executive Director
Bob recently retired after spending over thirty years in the Healthcare market. During his career he performed a number of varied roles which included overseeing Mexican manufacturing operations, Director and VP of US Sales for both Acute and Alternate Care channels, coordinating Western European medical distribution, and Director of Corporate National Accounts for over ten years. Bob has been a SAWs Board member for the past two and a half years serving as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. Bob has been married to his wife Paula for over thirty years, they are members of St. Luke’s Methodist Church and he enjoys reading, exercising, cycling, golf and interacting with their three children and keeping up with their nine grandchildren who all live in a small radius from their Carmel residence.
