Building Community Transforming Lives Accessing the World

SAWs® is a nonprofit, volunteer organization founded in 2003. Originally started in Indianapolis, our organization serves clients across Indiana, as well as Arizona and Virginia. We specialize in building wooden wheelchair ramps for low-income, permanently disabled individuals. With the support of our donors and volunteers, lives are changed one ramp at a time and in less than six hours we transform a client’s life FOREVER.

Our 2024 Builders Club

Support SAWs®

Because SAWs® does not charge low-income, permanently disabled persons for their ramps, we depend on the generosity of individuals, churches, corporations and nonprofit organizations to support our efforts.

Your donation will allow us to continue our mission of providing life-changing results for our clients and our volunteers.
Whether you like to build ramps, make phone calls to prospective recipients or prepare and serve refreshments for our build teams.
A SAWs® Affiliate is a group of volunteers who come together to build wheelchair ramps for those most in need in their area.

Referring Agency Partners

SAWs® is in the process of building a strong referral network consisting of healthcare providers and nonprofit agencies that already work with our future clients and are more familiar with their circumstances.

That’s when you realize how difficult it was before.” — Anne, SAWs VolunteerThis is why we build ramps—so neighbors like Rosanne can safely leave their homes and live with dignity and independence.💚 Be part of the impact: www.sawsramps.org/donate/#BuildFreedom #SAWsRamps #AccessibilityMatters ...
